(New Castle News) Tri-County Cleanways and the Lawrence-Mercer Recycling and Solid Waste Department will host a hard-to-recycle event later this month.

The collection from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 28, at the Scott Township Volunteer Fire Department at 3712 Harlansburg Road, will be available for residents to dispose of electronics, household hazardous waste, appliances and certain tires.

Registration is required for electronics and HHW and is limited to 200 vehicles. The materials are being collected by Noble Environmental.
