This fall, affiliates will once again have an opportunity to compete for a $2500 Grant during the Shark Tank Session at the KPB Annual Conference ‘Connecting Nature, Community, and Equity!’ on October 15th in Reading, PA. We invite you to apply to be a contestant and pitch your project in front of our live audience!

Do you have a project that you put on hold while you look for funding? Maybe you want to try a pilot project that’s a bit out of the ordinary…this could be your chance! KPB’s "Shark Tank" session, modeled after the popular TV show, is a pitch competition where selected Affiliates will pitch their proposal to a panel of "sharks" made of up KPB board members and community leaders. Participants should be ready to answer questions and receive feedback on their proposal. Remember, you will be competing to win $2,500 in funding for your project!

Here’s your chance to get thrown into the shark tank!

This application closes on August 22nd. Selected contestants will be notified by email by early September.

• One participant will win the prize of $2,500 to support the project they proposed. The winner will  not  be decided beforehand so come prepared to persuade the judges!
• KPB will select affiliate contestants from submitted applications. Selected affiliates will each have a set amount of time (5-10 minutes) to give their pitch!
• Proposals will be evaluated based on the merit and feasibility of the project.
• A slide show will be prepared to recap each project. If you are selected as a contestant, we will work with you to add your project slides into the presentation. Other visual aides can be added if needed. KPB will issue a check to the winner after the conference, not in person at the event.

Guidelines:

• The prize won is available to help cover costs for community improvement events and projects.
• Recognition requirements – Please recognize Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful on any materials produced. Please contact Stephanie Larson at slarson@keeppabeautiful.org for a logo as needed.
• Reporting Requirements – Upon completion, let us know how the project/event went! After your project or event is concluded, we will follow up by email for the requested information. Event must also be registered and reported with Pick Up PA on our website, https://cleanup.keeppabeautiful.org/. Please take photos of your event as well for social media and other promotions!
