Scholarship Application for Alumni and Current Young Ambassadors

The Young Ambassadors of Pennsylvania (YAP) Program seeks to build community stewards and civic leaders by inspiring, engaging, and empowering young Pennsylvanians to become ambassadors of our shared vision of a clean and beautiful Pennsylvania.

The Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Young Ambassador Scholarship celebrates and honors current and past Young Ambassador graduates who demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental, social and economic sustainability through academic pursuits to positively impact their community. In 2026, Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful will award two $1,000 merit based scholarships: one to a current YA student and one to an alum.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Current Young Ambassador planning to enroll in a continuing education program.*
  • Young Ambassador alumni planning to enroll or already enrolled in a continuing education program.

*Continuing education programs include college, technical schools, certifications, and professional development programs.

The Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Young Ambassador Scholarship embodies the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful mission of empowering Pennsylvanians to keep their communities clean and beautiful by nurturing the next generation of environmental and community stewards.

Timeline:

  1. Applications open Friday, March 6th and close Tuesday, April 7th.
  2. Awardees will be notified prior to May 12, and announced during the May 12 virtual graduation ceremony.
