Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Welcomes New Board Member

Sarah DeSantis, DCED, brings diverse background to the Board of Directors

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Board of Directors announces the appointment of Sarah DeSantis, Executive Assistant to the Deputy Secretary for Marketing, Tourism & Film for the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). As one of her first responsibilities, DeSantis participated in a strategic planning session to help set three year goals for the organization to advance its mission of empowering Pennsylvanians to keep our communities clean and beautiful.

DeSantis recently served as project manager for the award-winning PA Fights Dirty: Every Litter Bit Matters anti-litter campaign launched in 2022 by Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful and state officials from PennDOT. In addition to working with DCNR, Desantis was previously employed with the Office of the Governor and served as spokesperson for the Department of Labor and Industry.

“Sarah brings a combination of experience, expertise and energy to the table. Her diverse background, direction and leadership will be valuable as we continue to advance our mission and grow our organization,” said Phoebe Coles, Board of Directors Chair for Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful.

“As part of the 90 percent of Pennsylvanians who agree that litter is a problem, I am thrilled to have this opportunity to help improve the quality of life in communities across the commonwealth through Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful,” said Sarah DeSantis. “I’m excited to build on our award-winning PA Fights Dirty campaign as well as continue to move Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s other initiatives forward toward a cleaner tomorrow.”
