Online applications being accepted through July 1

(WFMZ-TV 69 News) The Giant Company is bringing back a program that aims to make Pennsylvania a little greener.

The Carlisle-based grocery store chain announced Monday that it has partnered with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful to award $100,000 in grants for the planting of native trees across the state as part of Giant’s Healing the Planet program.

The company said it will award the money to tax-exempt organizations with eligible projects that are shovel-ready and include tree planting and the direct costs relating to tree planting.
