Get Involved

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful wishes to recognize all of our dedicated volunteers who have helped make our programs successful. Without the help and support of volunteers, our programs would not continue.

If you’d like to follow our progress, read our news, and see what our volunteers have accomplished, sign up for e-mail notifications for both of our newsletters,  “Beautiful.” and  “Beautiful Resources” by clicking here!

What You Can Do…

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful is not an enforcement agency, but we support the enforcement of all laws against dumping and littering.Click here to find a listing of enforcement agencies that have the authority to enforce Pennsylvania’s laws against littering and illegal dumping. If you witness someone littering or you find an illegal dump, we encourage you to report it to the appropriate enforcement agency.

We also encourage you to report locations of illegal dumps to Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful. Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful is collecting information on illegal dumpsites throughout Pennsylvania. If you know of a dumpsite – old or new, active or inactive – please take a moment to complete this brief online Report Litter and Dumping Form. Locating and documenting these dumps is the first step in getting these sites cleaned up and ultimately making Pennsylvania a cleaner place to live.

Here is a sampling of volunteer activities available (please note some opportunities require training):

Litter and Dump Cleanups
Do you want to make a difference in ways you can see in your own community? If so, a Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful affiliate can help you get started on reducing dumping and littering in your community. If an affiliate isn’t nearby, you can order resources for organizing a cleanup from Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful. Our cleanup program is known for its emphasis on safety, effectiveness, and community partnerships.

Public Education/Outreach
Like to speak and teach? Visit a local community group to educate them on implementing cleanups focusing on remediation, enforcement and prevention. Training is required. Enjoy meeting new people? Staff a Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful booth at local conferences, fairs and events in your area and educate the public on our mission. You must be a “people person” and have your own transportation.
