Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Encourages Students to Apply to Keep America Beautiful’s Youth Advisory Council

(May 11, 2020) – Keep America Beautiful is accepting applications for the 2020-2021 National Youth Advisory Council (YAC). This is an opportunity for 20 high school students (enrolled in public or private high school by September 2020) from diverse backgrounds to participate in a service learning and leadership development program. The YAC members will provide an original point of view in assessing Keep America Beautiful programs, implement local service projects and will act as ambassadors and leaders for youth service in their respective communities and states.

“Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful believes that our younger generation is the key to a cleaner more sustainable environment. I encourage Pennsylvania students to embrace this distinctive opportunity. The National Youth Advisory Council will provide a unique experience that can be transferred to other leadership opportunities in the future,” stated Shannon Reiter, President of Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful, the state affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.

Applications will be accepted through July 10, 2020. For more information and an application visit https://kab.org/education/youth-advisory-council/.
