Keep
Pennsylvania Beautiful College Internships – KPB
is piloting a program using teams of college interns
to help Pennsylvania communities develop an effective
plan to cleanup, reduce, and prevent litter and dumping;
and enhance and beautify their neighborhoods. KPB
gathers interns to perform these tasks from various academic
backgrounds, for example: landscape architecture; horticulture,
fine arts, civil engineering, and urban planning & policy. The
interns act as an initial catalyst to energize and engage
residents and neighborhoods in taking care of their communities. Here
you'll find a report on the initial trial in 2005 and
future plans. (PDF
