KPB BUSINESS COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP – Pennsylvania companies that share the KPB mission and goals are invited to join the KPB Business Council. PENNDOT ‘SPONSOR-A-HIGHWAY” –The Sponsor-A-Highway Program actually began three years ago in Pennsylvania when PENNDOT contracted with the Adopt-A-Highway Maintenance Corporation of California (AAHMC) to begin marketing its services to businesses in targeted areas of the state. Under the program, a business or individual can hire a designated professional maintenance company - currently the Adopt-A-Highway Maintenance Corporation - to complete a variety of highway maintenance services on a specific, one-mile section of state-maintained highway. The services offered vary from a basic service of litter pick-up to mechanized sweeping, graffiti removal, planting and mowing. The sponsor can contract for one or a combination of different services. The contracted services will take place a minimum of 12 times a year to a maximum of 32 times per year.  A sign, similar to the following sample can be placed along the sponsored section of highway.
