Founded in 1755, Middletown is Dauphin County's oldest community.
Like Harrisburg, Middletown's development was heavily influenced
by its location on the Susquehanna River. Middletown has gone through
many changes over the past century and is in the process of being
rejuvenated by residents and local travelers.
The Greater Middletown Economic Development Corporation has proposed
a project to further strengthen the Town's image by creating a welcoming
entrance point. Interns will work with community residents and local
businesses and organizations to finalize a landscape design for
a key access point. The partnership will then implement portions
of it.
