Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful is a non-profit alliance of government agencies, industry & business associations, statewide nonprofits, and community groups. This diverse coalition shares a firm commitment to litter-prevention, community enhancement & beautification, and sound waste management practices in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The KPB members fully acknowledge and understand that these three issues affect the quality of life and economic revitalization efforts in all Pennsylvania communities. A recent study at the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania found, among other things, that planting trees within 50 feet of houses increased home prices by about 10 percent and that sale prices of houses rose as much as 30 percent when the homes were located near vacant lots that had been "cleaned and greened."

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful recognizes that there are individual companies across the Commonwealth that share its mission and goals. Specifically, the Great Pennsylvania Cleanup, KPB’s Roadside Aesthetics project, and other community enhancement projects form a fundamental link between Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful and numerous Pennsylvania businesses. The KPB Business Council provides a format for these companies to work with KPB in shaping and implementing projects and KPB’s overall path. KPB would welcome additional business voices and input as a members of the KPB Business Council.

There are three levels of membership in the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Business Council – Charter, Sustaining, and Supporting. The membership levels and benefits are described in the attached document (PDF File).
