Octorara News - Communities in the Octorara area were home to four illegal dump sites identified in a January survey in Chester County.
The Octorara sites sites contained 4 tons of waste. They were among 33 Chester County sites containing 38 tons of illegally dumped waste, according to the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful survey completed in January.
Two of the Octorara sites were in Highland Township — one on Highland Road and the other on North Five Point Road. Also identified were a site on Glen Run Road in West Fallowfield Township and one on Lower Valley Road in West Sadsbury Township.
Most of the waste was made up of household trash, recyclables, tires, construction and demolition waste, furniture and vehicle parts.
