Lebanon Daily News - The Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority recently received a Keep America Beautiful National Award for the work it did to rid Lebanon County of illegal dumpsites.
The national award was accepted on behalf of the authority by Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful - the organization that nominated the authority for the award - at Keep America Beautiful's national conference at the awards banquet in New Orleans in November. Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful then presented the award to the authority at its board meeting on in early January.
The Keep America Beautiful National Award honors outstanding projects and programs concentrated in litter prevention, beautification, and waste reduction and recycling throughout the nation, according to a news release.
